Introduction

There are many jobs to be done on a merchant ship. Cargo must be loaded and unloaded. Then the ship has to travel a long distance across the sea in all kinds of conditions. The men and women on board are responsible for all the work that goes on in the background. No ship could go anywhere without its crew.
